Beneath the facism of appearance, what's left?

attractiveness is a sorting pattern
that makes sense
in breeding beautiful children

and otherwise
it's fear and scarcity based:

these are the standards,
the closer you get to them,
the more points you get to play against
someone's money points, or car/ stuff points
or good personality points

the world of relationship
as buying selling and bartering your
assets for theirs

cruel nonsense

the only place I've ever heard this
talked about out loud
was in a Byron Katie, 14 day school,
and someone in the B group of attractiveness

talked about how the A group there,
as everywhere had created a sort of ascendency

this was shocking
and true to behold

and it keeps going on
and on

and then,
to leave that behind....

  what's that leave?

the wonderful world of now:
what is your experience
in the present
with that person

and if things go
awry (took google to spell that, pronounced uh rye)
and they will,
what to do?

be present
be honest
see where "I don't know"
will lead you

the truth will always
either set you free
or set you closer to freedom,
and more truth will help you
see
where you
and I
and You
and I
and we

aren't yet free

yet,

weeeeee!

each day offers

each day offers
choices:
now
or not

happy
or arguing with reality

clear
or befudled

fun thing is this:
we're just fine,
even in the "wrong" choices

can we can always
"wake up" and notice what we did,
what we are going

coming back
"home"
not even my choice
but almost by scent
as if the smell of Life
is luring us
back
back
back
to the truth
of Now

The Way of Love, the mistake of "original sin"

Let's say sin is this,
"missing the mark,"
as translation
and what's the mark?

love.

sin is that which takes us away from loving God, ourselves,
nature and others

any order is fine, that's another sin, dividing and splitting into levels,
but we'll pass that by for now

and think about the idea of
original sin

people being born "bad"

which is nonsense

look at babies
no bad
pure love

the idea of original sin is a sin
against babies
and against what we really are underneath all our conditioning

it's a control trip really

and that's the way it always is:
you can have love
or control

to see everyone as good and innocent at their core,
this is an idea with much less power to shame, and bully
and get people to cowtow before God

as if that's what God
wants
shamed and self-hating people
on their knees repentant for the sin of being alive

hooey to that:
hell is always in the moment,
when we are out of love
with now
with the joy of life
with ourselves
and others
and nature
and God

any order

and we can be in love
or we can be condemning
but not both

the sin of original sin tries to turn us into human
beings haters

bad idea
bad loving
bad living
bad medicine

and if we don't say bad:
lets  just say, not so useful

good

this book great, not on this topic particularly
but on what love
without all the doctrines
what love could be
and
is
when we are their and taste in its/ our / God's glory

and two great pathways back
to the love
of who we are
originally:

Awareness Through Movementspeaking of the use of awarness found
in movement based in presence and discovery
to lead us back to who we are
before conditioning
underneath the Mask of "fitting in"

and Loving What Is,

Katie's treatise/ roadguide
to life as if ALL and EVeryone
is God

so it's all love
(or else the sin of suffering, no, the suffering of
not being in love
in that moment)

Loving What is

Extra for Tuesday, chapter 76 from the book

Chapter 75 was thinking about the difference between

what is Reality, and what I want from Reality,
and can there be healthy, non-grasping "wanting."

Here's chapter 76:
Who am I?

If we aren’t the wanting, wanting, “having to have it” thing, if we “do” but aren’t that activity that seems obsessed with filling and getting, who are we?

If we aren’t some image that wants to be filled and fortified and propped up, who are we?

Without our story, who are we?

If we go very quiet, quieter than any words to explain or say it, and get some experience of “ourselves,” what is it that we are experiencing?

Who are we?

A good fine immense question: Who am I?

And can the answer ever be in words?

weird ideas about "stability"

viri one with rocks

I've just had, recently this amazing
realization about all this "stability"
stuff

First, an experiment:
extend your arm, you pick,
forward,
lengthen arm out at hand,
and at same time
bring shoulder blade backwards

viola:
you have a "stabilized" shoulder

now, try this:
bring c7 backward
and thrust your jaw forward:
viola:
you have a "stabilized" neck

which is to say,
immobilized

sooner or later I'll post on
the non-tragic (via work of Byron Katie)
separation from a wonderful sweet partner,
who is a yogi
and among my faults. her faults, her mother, my mother,
her this, my that, the usual imperfection not wanting
to see imperfection
she
doesn't like to hear these
ideas about "core stability"
which is the same nonsense:

immobilize a person,
turn them into a post,
and call that "stability"

minor problem:
humans are designed for maximum instability
= mobility

much more on this as we go.
