The wages of sin are death. Sin = missing the mark. Food to heal, vs food to die

The Wages of Sin are Death
“Sin” = Missing the Mark
What mark/ goal / aim are we missing if we are sick or dying?

You can eat anything you want. No laws against filling yourself with food that will clearly lead to ill health.
Sin is missing the mark, which means we need to be very clear about what our mark/ aim/ goal is.

In terms of health, we could have the aim/ mark/ goal of treating our body as a temple.
We could have the aim/ mark/ goal of living to a hundred in a healthy and totally mentally and physically capable state.

In terms of that aim/ mark/ goal these foods are “sin”
Sugar
Modern wheat ( the bread of the Bible was far, far different wheat. See the book, Wheat Belly. Modern wheat has been mutated beyond recognition by our cells and has disastrous results.)
All pasteurized dairy except grass fed butter.
The bad oils. See Fats that Heal and Fats that Kill.
White carbs like potatoes and almost all flour products.

Pause:
(Why is this so important to me?
Food and health are super important to me. My father died of brutal cancer. My Mother’s brilliant mind rotted away. I was sickly as a child. Very sickly. Read the essay on my childhood terror with almost daily asthma if you wish the fuller story:  http://wakeup-feldenkrais.blogspot.com/2017/01/asthma-terror-health-food-fanaticism.html)

Back to the road to death via missing the mark foods.
Canned foods.
The whole list of the “Dirty Dozen”, the foods most contaminated by pesticides. Cides = kill, = poison. If you’ve ever lived near grapes or tomatoes and watched the poisons being sprayed from air or tractor, you’d realize how grime it is. What are the dirty dozen. See my food page http://www.4brainfitness.com/Stuck2Unstuck/Food,_Health,_Transformation.html
And maybe almost as bad as wheat and sugar: industrial meat, cows and chickens and worst of all pork, raised in stuffed conditions and fed corn to fat and poison them, so we can have poisoned meat.

Don’t believe me?
That’s good. If you want great health you’ve got to do the work. But only if your goal is to honor your temple and live healthy until at least 100.

If that’s a goal, or a possible goal you might want to watch the DVD Fresh, or the  DVD Food, Inc.
I haven’t seen Farmaggedon yet, but I suspect it has the same message: industrial food is a straight line to heart attack, cancer, diabetes and obesity.

Ah, but this is a lot of trouble to avoid all that.
Well, it’s all about sin as missing the mark/ aim/ goal.

What if your  mark/ aim/ goal is one of these:
To have food that “tastes good” in your mouth
To eat what you are used to/ makes you comfortable.
To eat like everyone else.
To stuff yourself with something to have familiar sensations that drown out the rest of the day.
To “reward” yourself for putting up with a life you don’t like.

If these are your  mark/ aim/ goal, then eat all the pizza you want. Or almost all food at restaurants that don’t serve farm to table meat. Or the quick fast food that seems to “do it” right away.
The wages of that might be death or dying, but that is “sin” only if you don’t want a death before your rightful time.

Life is tragic and glorious. We can chose. If we don’t, there are consequences.
We die young.
We get sick. (And not all sickness is bad eating. But almost all.)

This isn’t God’s fault. It’s our conscious or unconscious choice of goals. He didn’t invent industrial farming or pesticides or pasteurized milk. Sugar in Biblical days was almost always from honey, and wasn’t much. Wheat as I’ve mentioned was a non-mutated and very different food.
We can ignore this.
We can “go to the trouble” to make clear what our real goals are.

What a drag.

Or: what an immense opportunity!

What do YOU want? I mean, You, the real you, not the trained seal

Who are you?

How amazing do you want your life to be?

Are you one of the people Love, Lust and Raw Enlightenment coaching is designed to help with life joy, delight, love and transformation?

Is this you????

You want more love in your life. Again: You want more and deeper love in your life.
This can take many forms.

You have a pretty good relationship and you want a spectacular one. This can take the form of having better communication, or better sex, or more fun, or resolution of “issues” that are never broached, or “just” plain old enlightenment.
Just plain old enlightenment means that instead of going through the motions, no matter how polite and well choreographed, you are awake and present to each other most of the time.
Including the hardest of times: when you are talking.
Or the even harder of hard times: when you are in disagreement and one or both want to slip slide slump into reactivity and conditioned responses that have been automatic for a couple of million years.

You have a dull relationship, and you are tired of the boredom and the stagnation and the lack of connection.
This is common.
Gad this is common and all our electronic devices make it so much easier to ignore. You “just have” to check your email, or your phone, which is glued to your eyeballs, as your breathing almost stops and your posture hunkers over your little device.
And when you are finally ready and willing to talk to your partner, there they are, “too busy,” as they are hunkered over, hardly breathing, some oh so important text or Facebook hooey, and it’s so convenient to forget about you.
And even before devices, people read newspapers, watched sports, watched TV.
Still do.
Avoiding life and love and connection (and various “hard” areas to work through, and various vulnerabilities left unsaid) because we have our attention absorbed with anything but present based touch and talk and love and lust with our partner.
It seems a little better than loneliness, except this is often extremely lonely.

You don’t have a relationship: you’re single and tired of it.
You see the couples out there. You know a lot of them aren’t that happy, but at least they have someone to hold hands with. And sleep with.
You want this for yourself.
You are normal, of course you are. You have a deep wish for a wonderful partner, with whom you can have a joyful and awakened and loving and growing relationship, a relationship as a spiritual pathway to become all that you can be.
And you don’t have one.
How do you find someone?
What skills can you practice with friends and acquaintances to prepare you for having real and deep connection with a good person, if you meet them, great connection that can help you each decide easily of this is “the real deal?”
What is a waste of time in the dating world, and what might be ways to practice real connection, whether or not they are “the right one?”
(And: Is dating even necessary?
I don’t think so.)
What is necessary is being awake and present, whether you are with someone or alone, or with nature or a pet or a book. You can be out to lunch, not present and sort of wasting time until sleep comes at night, or death comes at the end. But what could you be doing in the interim (your life) to have rich and amazing times as one moment becomes the next becomes the next, as the present flows and floods through us as our life keeps going and going and going.
Till it doesn’t.

You don’t have a relationship: you are divorced and not quite healed from it. Or far from healed from it.
Loving your enemies is crucial for a good life.
Forgiveness is essential to a  happy life.
Letting the nonsense go and learning from our mistakes is how we expand and become more and more amazing.
Divorce, like a serious illness, can be a wake up call. Literally: wake up to the present. And metaphorically: start changing things around so you don’t make the same mistakes the next time around.
This book will have tons of ways to let go of anger and hurt, tons of ways to be kind to yourself as you wait and search for another, tons of suggestions about how to find someone that is the real deal for you this time, lots of ways to become much more the person you wish you’d been the first time around.

If you want a fabulous relationship at the center of your life, then Love, Lust and Raw Enlightenment coaching might be for you. As the title page says text for a free 20 minute deepening into your big desires.

Someday we will die

Someday we will die

and maybe—maybe__
on our deathbed, or soon after, we will know:
“What is it all about?”

until then:
How happy  can we be
paying homage to this
Miracle of Life?

What is best in your life?
What is most meaningful?
What is most deeply satisfying?
What do you like and love?

For what are you grateful?

When we answer these
we are well on the way to knowing:

Why am I alive?

mindfulness when you have "too much to do"

See my new website, if you'd like, it's underway,
but worth looking at if you wish:

there are a million excuses not to be present

and here's a good reason to be:

one day we'll be dead

and here's another,
and you can take the hint from this exercise,
the first I have couples do, when they are wishing
to upgrade their relationship

They take turns saying this:
"I am alive.
You are alive."

They do that three times, present to themselves and the other.

Then, three times with the kicker;

"Someday I'm going to die.
Someday you are going to die."

And that's the other half:
every person that you are judging, ignoring, punishing, dismissing, spacing out and not giving attention, cutting off on the freeway, deciding is stupid, wishing they weren't around

every one,
someday

dead

okay,
from there
how important is the "getting things done?"

how many of us want this on our
gravestone:

"Was always busy."

And so what?
You can be busy and present.
It's harder.
It's fun.

How?
Practice.

Resurrection: What Dies, What Lives

There's a dramatic story going down each year on a pagan day.

The day is set like this:
The first Sunday
After the first full moon ( we just had it)
After the equinox ( March 20-22, depending on the year)

So this coming Sunday is that Sunday.
It's called Easter

Does Easter have something to do with the East
with the sun rising in the East
and the day breaking in the East
and the stars and moon rising in the East

I don't know,
but I'd guess so

And it has a lot to do with a man we call Jesus,
but who
was a Jew
and was perhaps called Yeshua back in his day,

maybe

And he taught revolution:

turn within
find the Kingdom of Heaven

turn without
turn outside yourself:
Love your neighbor ( no small job by the complaints so many have about their real life neighbors)
Love your enemy

Love your enemy:
That isn't theory

That's the divorced mate you feel justified in hating because:
they had an affair
they go boring
they watched porn
they trash talked you
they drank
they hit
they neglected
they controlled

they always did something wrong, correct?

The enemy can be horrible.
I've been reading a book about Nigeria.
Half of a Yellow Sun

It's about the slaughter of the Ibbo people in Nigeria

one tribe committing genocide
ugly awful stuff
at least in part,
if not mostly set in motion by the British rulers brilliant use of divide and conquer

( Moshe Feldenkrais talks of how Jews and Arabs
co existed for centuries in Palestine until the British set them
against each other....

and the ease with which one tribe/ nationality/ religion
can be set against each other brings us back to the point

)

LOVING YOUR ENEMY IS A BIG DEAL

and Jesus preached this

and they killed him

This was just too rebellious
loving your enemy

how could divide and conquer work?
how could people stay miserable and easy to oppress?
how could people feel weak and powerless if they could forgive?

ah,
better kill this dude

so they did

and what's the resurrection:
letting go of whatever you haven't forgiven

seeing it's the other person's problem
letting it go

now is now

the kingdom of heaven
is
now

or never

dive in

now

ciao

rules of play.... my modification of a one taste creation

RULES OF PLAY

- Play can include all, but not all are willing to play
- Everything is of consequence
- If no one is awake:  the game plays all, and the lowest common denominator sets the level
- If someone is awake, the game is for freedom

- One day we will all be dead
- Altruism seems to lose at first, then wins
- He or she with the least rules will win in the end
- Love is a game without a game
- A game of liberation needs to be played from volition.

- Don’t hurt the game
- Question the game. With humor. And emptiness.
- Be happy
- The highest game includes all

- The highest play is waking up / surrender / love

the importance of death

Freud, if I remember, talks of orgasm
as a little death

and yeah, the climax kind
is like a blasting away of
everythng
into the emptiness

a moment or two or ten
of blessed relief

and death has got
to be like that:
no problem, say the jerky jerks
and when you die:

no
problem

and what about the better version?
you're welcome?

you've come to wellness
or come home

and here we get where we always need to
be
NOW

the present
is as empty as death,

unless you are telling a story about it
and that story is words and references
always from outside the
EXPERIENCE
of now

and so what?

and so,
all relationships
die

the other person conks
or we conk
which means die,
not fucking "pass away"

or they leave
or we
leave

and what if there was a commitment
to stick in out?

ah, most people don't want deep
they want a dream
and then when the dream was a lie
they blame the other and leave

and that's death

but the death of
truth

and that kind of death isn't important

the kind that is:

the
IS IT TRUE?
question
to any thought. story. belief we are using to hold
ourselves
back
from a turned on
awakened life

that's all
that needs to die

that's all

go ahead and die, just don't forget to go to the funeral

dying is under-rated

life on its own
terms
is perfect

and we almost never take it
that
way

which means we are dead
anyway

why not be there for the death
of seeing that
of tasting that
false grabbing to what's not really there
what's not really yours
what's not really true

the death of the story

what's left

go ahead and die,
and see,
be there to see
be there to taste
be there to gnash and smash and bash
until you are all the way
there

then
don't go to heaven
don't transcend

descend
come back for the funeral
stick around

what's next?

ah
what's next now?

and now?

and now?

Life is Yes, even when you die

her former husband
the tug of love underneath yanking
and not connecting

died for her
died with her
teased and refused to be helped
so he would die
in her arms
in her heart

he loved her so much
and forgot
and they both didn't know how
to re tie the tie that didn't bind
and he died of a broken heart

not really
he died of a heart free,
free to give her the freedom to love
every moment because it is
not yet death
and when that comes
it's one more moment to love

and maybe she'll teach that
or maybe she'll just teach that you
are always married to the one you
love
and why waste a minute moment second
forgetting it,
even if you aren't together

the love is there
the child is there
the poems are there

Gilgamesh
that used to be recited by Gurdjieff's father,
from memory, passed down for generations,
before the scrolls were discovered

that poems says:
it can be rough

and the rough is life
and it stirs
no matter how fucking hard
that's life

and the child lives
and the love lives
and this moment lives
and this poem isn't good enough
for how beautiful she was

and that's good enough, too

it's all love,
all love

all love

Seek until you find: Gospel of Thomas on all and everything

Yeshua:

Whoever discovers what these sayings mean
Will not taste death

Seek and do not stop seeking until you find.
When you find, you will be troubled.
When you are troubled,
You will marvel and rule over all.

If your leaders tell you, "Look the kingdom is in heaven,"
then the birds of heaven will precede you.
If they tell you, "It is in the sea,"
Then fish will beat you there.

But the kingdom of heaven is in you and outside of you.
When you know yourselves, you will be known.
And will understand that you are children of the living father.
If you don't know yourselves,
You will dwell in poverty and be poverty.

You who are old in days will not hesitate
to ask a child of seven days old about
The place of Life, and you will live.
Many who are first will be last and be solitary.

Know what is in front of your face
And what is hidden from you will be disclosed.
There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.

From the Restored New Testament,
Willis Barnstone,

an amazing book, that clues one way into the strangeness of the traditional
new testament's anti-Semitism,
and reveals all sorts of information that isn't commonly known
(letters of Paul before the Mathew, Mark, Luke, John ones written)

if love were free, then what? if it had a cost, what would it be?

this sunset a while back
at Enchanted Rock
a wild wonderful place in Texas

you know the phrase,
sixties stuff, or Hugh Heffner kind of nonsense:
free love

which means, usually,
fooling around and not sticking it out
with the going gets rough
and jumping on to someone else

that's not free really
because it's not love

it could be good sex,
could be an invitation to disaster
and definitely isn't the
deal
with love

because love does have a price

a minor one:
death

ha, got ya?

and the death isn't literal
it's worst:

good old ego gets to bite the dust

and this sounds big
and it is
cause the ego that bites the dust with love
isn't the one that learns spanish and tai chi
and takes you out dancing when you need
to clear your funk
or plant a garden when you need to get grounded

no it's the ego
that's the piggidy piggy piggo:
the me me me
I come first
give me what I want when I want it
baby demanding tyrant

ugh

we fall into that pig now and then
and love's price
and it's gift:
a wake up message:
hey, the other person has their own
world
other things to do
beside worship and serve and accommodate
to us

so love has a price
death of the pig

and the reward:
we are free
free from all those me me me chains

so love is free

love is free because when
we love
we are free

wheeee!

the death thing

Someday we're going to die
me oh my

you and I,
dear,
no matter how much we
love
each other
or any one or two or two hundred people,
or take them for granted
or, Golly Forbid,
resent and dislike/ hate them

whatever we feel
they feel
we do
they do

whoosh

it's all gone one
day
one breath we are
'here'
and the next
'gone'

and what does that
mean?

who knows?

whatever you want it to
mean

and you and I
and any one who wants
to love live
and enjoy the life
we are having
however long we
are having
this moment
followed
by
this moment
followed by this moment

might ponder
that the complaining moments,
the "death isn't fair" moments,
take away
from the joy of now

so,
it's like losing the life
we do have now
over the eventually loss
that we don't even know
what it will be like

and is that our
complaint

the big fat unknowness
of death?

could be

and what better way to
practice
that to love the big fat unknown
of the next moment
when
we are "really now"

wow

preparing for death
by surfing the now

now that's
a fun way
to be

(or at least seems
so
to me)

The Joy of 9/11

By the time you finish this little ramble
at least 3000 people will have died on this
beautiful planet from idiotic reasons:

Car crashes,
stupid wars,
starvation because the rich stole the food that was supposed to go to the poor
starvation because the world bank shoved the country into monoculture and the people forgot or weren't allowed to grow their own food
drugs that doctors gave doing the person in
lover's quarrels where the gun is the answer
drug war idiocy

and so on

This human race does dumb things
with its big brain
that gets used to make weapons
and to justify the most common human
fallacy:
The Me Right, You wrong fallacy

And throughout today,
many will be busy saying
the terrorists were wrong
or that George Bush was wrong
or that the whole economic mess of the country is wrong

and you know what:
everyone who wants to be right,
is
and yet,
are they happy?

So let's dance around and wonder:
are we terrorizing ourselves with the idea
that 9/11 shouldn't have happened

are we terrorizing ourselves with the wish
that in this country at least
crazy men with the idea that they can solve
anything by killing a bunch of people all at
once ( Hiroshima anyone? firebombing of Dresden and Tokyo)
should happen

people want to be right
the most idiotic form of this is to go
out and figure that you are so right
you get to kill off a bunch of the Wrong crowd

crazy

and then,
if we want to erase this idiocy
from the world
or from happening in "our" country,
who are we, but mental expungers of the
the Wrong folk
so we wipe the "bad/ dumb/ wrong THEM" out
with our judgment

me right, you wrong
ah, such sweet poison

such a common way to waste our lives

and the unfailing way to be unhappy:
You, the past, should have been different

me right, the past should have been my picture,
you, reality, the past as it was, is WRong

la, la

lots of luck

so, if you don't agree with me,
be happy,
but don't be right,
be amused, confused,
curious:

how could he possibly think that way?

what would it be like if I tried that out for awhile?

And if you can't entertain an "alien" viewpoint,
why get so mad at the terrorists,
who clearly lacked humor and the good graces
to see that not everyone agreed with them

they are just like us
with the extreme of getting to really wipe out
what they don't like
including themselves

imagine how much self hatred goes into terrorism,
forget all the hogwash about 40 virgins in heaven,
these dopes all knew they were going to die,
and that they were destroying themselves

nothing but good old lack of love
for self
others
and the whole big mess
can lead to such drastic acts

and then again as the ramble rumbles
down,
and the 3000 mentioned above are all
dead
and here we are still

what's that about?

it's our moment
this gol dern moment is
our life

how much love and joy
and tolerance of the "wrong" people,
and love for the "wrong" people
can we conjure up

IN THIS MOMENT,
CAUSE IT'S THE ONLY ONE

ciao
for
NOW

Chris, 9-11-2011
whoppie, here we are,
you and I

Awakened Christianity: the baby and the bathwater there

I haven't posted a long time
in my Awakened Christianity blog,
and only a few people have looked at it

And
the mystical universe being what it
is
someone of high intelligence
and good
heart
crossed my path
in the night
and we talked of these things:

the baby and the bathwater of Christianity:

The bathwater
nonsense
demeaning aspects that make this fine possible religion
a burden to people's minds, hearts and souls:

ONE:
The idea of death as the "bad guy"
as if it's okay for the carrot to die
for us to eat it
and the bird to die after flying around
and glorifying the world in song
for its span on this beautiful planet
and it's okay for the summer to die into the fall die into the winter die into the spring

but
people can't die

so, you have to be afraid of it
or allow yourself to be afraid of it
or , the real thing: don't inquire about
the fear
and since "everyone" knows death is bad/ scary/ to be avoid/ the worst
people
accept,
like good sheep,
yeah, yeah, death = bad

and the essay on why be fearless and even happy
and excited at the prospect of eventual death,
that's another one

but for now,
the death as big
deal
and then the whole
pivoting of everything on Jesus' dying
as a big
deal

but, hey, folks,
death is what people do,
if Jesus wants to do the human thing,
die He must

on a cross is severe, no doubt,
and so is liver cancer and burn victim car crash
and having your head bashed in by your neighbors
during the genocide in Rwanda

death can be less pleasant than going to sleep
at night
or
it can be just the same

and I degress
a bit,
(not really, it all fits together,
just have fun with it,
let your own examinations of what "they" say,
be a source of endless amusement and freedom
for
you)

TWO, in the bathwater: BRIBERY
it's as if Christians allow themselves to be big
versions of little children
who
if they are good, and Santa knows,
yes, Santa knows,
they get presents
and if they are bad,
they get no presents

but worse, meaner awful really,
as if any God based on love and understanding
wants to send people to Hell

but anyway: this deal,
making life a big good get ticket to heaven
bad, get punished go to hell
is demeaning to what it really means to be human

and dumb
to the actuality:
when people are living out of love and the present
their lives are hell
so they don't have to wait until after death

THREE: EXCLUSIVITY,
as if God doesn't want as many avenues to Her or Him or It
as possible
and the Christian insistence that it's "my way or the highway" ( to hell,
to boot)
reduces a beautiful religion to the level of Go Seahawks, or Go Cowboys,
my team is the winning team

alas,
so
why bother:

because
"The kingdom of heaven is within"
right now

"Let he who is sinless cast the first stone"
perhaps the best spiritual story of all times

"Love your enemy"
easy to say, supposedly hard to do,
and until you and I and everyone learns it,
we are in hell

and it's not that hard,
just get real about what the un-loving is doing to your heart,
mind, guts and soul

or,
if you want some help,
jump on in with Katie:
thework.com

and you don't need the books,
but the titles get you thinking
about what a real world of God consciousness
might be:
Loving What Is

I Need Your Love: Is that true?

A Thousand Names for Joy
this the rendering by Stephen Mitchell once more of the tao ti ching, and Katie's take on what life as an awakened one/ master is about, pretty great

Thinking and Feeling about Death

 While we are alive, live.
Grand advice, and our work is about
"more life"
for ourselves and others, isn't it?

In the Feldenkrais work, the group lessons especially,
you move in a pattern,
you slow down and wake up to yourself
and discover things about yourself
and your patten
and your possibilities in new patterns,
and then
you
REST.

This is like a little death in a way:
a death to the rush ahead,
a death to the "try, try, try"
a death to the "crank it out" schools
of living
or of physical exercise.

The goal isn't to wear ourselves out
it is to wake ourselves up,
to learn
and then give the brain (you)
a chance to integrate.

We go to sleep at night.
Death to the day,
and a chance to slow down, stop thinking,
let go of bodily tension,
stop striving,
give up identification with all the
"I am this" and "I do that" verbal categories by which
we label and limit ourselves.

We die to that.
With good breathing, and maybe some Feldie-ish moves before we
go to sleep
or some nice sex
or a good book
we drift into a recharge zone.
We wake up the next day,
as if reborn.

In Friday's http://slowsonom.com blog
with it's cleverish title: Taxes are taxing, death is relaxing, love is everylasting,
I explored around this idea,
the Sufi idea,
and I think all the mystics really,
this idea of "die before you die."

Think about the "death" at night:
no thoughts,
no "I am the person who is ...." so many years old, owns this,
is related to that, works at this, is successful or unsuccessful at this
and at that.

A sort of emptiness.

Now, death as an activity in life has, to my mind,
one huge disadvantage over many other activities:
it is not reversible.
So you can't try out a left leaning death
and a right leaning death
and a breathing in death
and a breathing out death
and an indoor death
and an outdoor death
and a death by water
a death alone
a death in a crowd
and so on.

Little room to play.

Oh, well.

The advantage seems to be that it is a big sleep:
and end

to
all the identifications by which
we tie down
and limit and
define ourselves as so much less than we really are:
they are gone.

And then again

we can do all that by
meditating
by being present
by doing movement lessons
by joining our awareness to now in nature
by love of another, or our work, or some sweet activity
like dancing or swimming or making love

So, here's a funny place I've come to:
one way to "die before we die"
is to live fully in activities that bring us so much
joy
and require enough attention
and even better create opportunites to play
into new areas we didn't even know we could explore
that we
"die" to all the nonsense that makes life such a drag

Here we are back to the old Buddhist thing:
suffering.

I don't want to explore that much,
now,
except to point out the obvious,
for those who have done the Work of Byron Katie,
almost all suffering that doesn't involve physical pain,
is about our story about reality.

Her (Katie's) question number four
is an ongoing invitation to test out what life
would be like if we just let the story die.

So death of the story is a way out
of suffering.

And deeply immersing ourselves in life
is a way of dying
to the junk with which we often clog our lives.

And I don't think "being busy"
is the same as deeply immersing ourselves in life,
unless we can be busy and present
at the same time.

As I could have been while typing/ thinking this up.
And wasn't much.

However, immersed in the flow of ideas,
I certainly wasn't suffering,
it's just that another layer/ dimension/ gift
would have been had by following my breathing
and sensing my skeleton, spine, arms, fingers, feet on the
floor,
as I went along.

And then again:
returning to the now
of doing that now
and I'm free,
even freer of anything that would be/ could be called suffering.

So death:
a one way street
that comes to us all.

Nothing to get too tweaked about,
if we like falling asleep at night,
unless we have a story about:
"how it's supposed to be."

And Lord, oh Lord,
don't we have lots of stories about "how death should be."

Basically:
it's okay if you are old
and aren't in too much pain
and have lots of loved ones around,
and all the other kinds
are bad/ wrong/ unfair
and so on.

This seems a story worth examining on
any death,
even a death of a relationship,
which seems, almost always at least to one of the people,
to be
"at the wrong time."

So, life goes on for the living.
For the dead, we don't know.

We can think of the dead
and feel badly if we want,
though I'm almost certain if they had a say
they'd want us to be loving life as much as possible,
cherishing every moment.

Back to where we started:
the Feldie world
and the importance of rests
between actions,
the importance of as little as possible,
the importance of something like a death
to our old patterns,
or at least this:
a death to our being stuck in just that one pattern
that isn't working so well.

It's about expansion.

One of the wonderful things Anat brings to this work
is the idea of
emotions as actions,
and in that we can create variation:

feeling bad?

okay: how long do you want to feel bad?
how big?
where is you is the sensation?
can you make parts of that sensation more?
parts less?

can you feel that feeling and add on another?
(she doesn't say that, I do,
I've found huge breakthroughs can be made
by
allowing and sensing a "bad feeling"
say
and adding
on feeling happy as well
and adding on:
sensing our fives lines
and following our breathing

so now the "bad feeling"
(like a shoulder pain,
for which this could work, too)
is a subset of a huge and miraculous deal:
we are alive,
with awareness
and choice )

alright:
buy my book if you want daily experimentation
with ideas and paths to newness

or don't buy it
and go through this day
with a joyous
and curious
and amazed attitude
to how much joy and learning
and awareness
the fact of death
and the story of death
and the thrill of "dying before you die"
can bring to you

good luck
good awakening
happiness and usefulness to you and your day

ciao
